My husband’s office have their Christmas potluck. I suggested meatball in a crockpot, he said..well not another form of meatballs. We have brought bitterballen (dutch croquettes) for thanksgiving. So let’s make dessert. I always like the look of trifles. It’s just so purdy…
I gave him several options and he picked this one. I am glad…it’s so easy and it’s my son’s fave.
I made this before in a 9×13 pan, I used chocolate graham cracker crumbs. Made them in a mini dessert shooter type.
Today I am using my new Pampered Chef Trifle bowl. I have leftover, so made those dessert shooters, wine glasses. I made 3 recipes..so that I can bring some to work and have some for our dessert tomorrow night after dinner.
Here is my recipe..
For the crumbs, mix together.
1 pack graham cracker crumbs
2 stick of butter – melted
3/4 cup sugar
For the cream cheese:
In a mixer bowl mix until smooth.
1 of 8 oz creamcheese room temperature
1 can condensed milk
Then add 1 tablespoon lemon juice and 1 8 oz whipped cream. Fold with spatula until mix well.
Then open 2 cans of cherry pie filling.
Ready to assemble. .. graham cracker crumbs on the bottom, then cream cheese mixture, cherry pie filling..alternate as you like..2 layers should be enough for the wine glass or big bowl. 9×13 pan and dessert shooter i think 1 layer is enough. You can garnish the top with graham cracker crumbs or mint leaves.
Hope you like it. ..
